My Grandmother - HGW-11 - Hazel Dell (Fidella) at the age of 19. when she married my grandfather. Grandpa would ride on horseback cross country to court her. At the age of 16 she passed the Missouri "State Teacher's Examination" with very high marks and became the youngest, qualified school teacher in the State of Missouri at the time. She taught grades 1 through 8 in a local country school house. - Watercolor
